David Foord Avionics is an aviation maintenance company located Broome International Airport, Broome, WA
The company was started in 1997 by David and Sue Foord. we now have 6 staff and an expansive client base including the cream of the major local and interstate operators
We can work on any aircraft from the smallest of recreational aircraft such as jabiru's and Sportstar's up to the PC12's operated by the RFDS and Bell 412 helicopters operated by the local rescue helicopter service
David Foord started out with an apprenticeship at LLoyd Aviation in adelaide in 1984, working on Cessna Citation and Beechcraft Super Kingairs.
He holds LAME licenses for all instrument, electrical and radio groups. He has also been running avionics workshops for more than 25 years
David also has an associate diploma in electronic engineering, and a private pilot license. He has built an RV6 aircraft, and a DR107 specialist aerobatic aircraft. He has over 2000 hours flight experience and is endorsed on all single engine aircraft.
This flying , engineering and aircraft building gives david a unique perspective on aircraft maintenance. A short flight with david in your aircraft will result in finding most defects and nailing down their causes.
